If you’re looking for something great and informational to do, the Apartment Association of Pennsylvania will hold a Trade and Education show held at Valley Forge Convention & Casino Resort on March 21, 2024 — and Pincus Elevator Company will have a booth!

This event is held by the Apartment Association and Pincus will be at Booth #613. Make sure you stop by and Pincus will greet you with a friendly “Hello” and provide helpful information about our services and projects.

Our goal is to inform you about all your elevator needs that you didn’t even know you needed. It is very important for your elevators to be in the best hands with proper maintenance and as-needed upgrades.

We love new faces and we’re always looking to form great relationships with new and future customers. Trade Shows are a fun way of learning about different companies and the services they offer.

We are proud to showcase our company, so stop by, have a drink, and meet some of the people who make our company amazing!

We have some special people here at Pincus who keep our business running and projects moving. We would like to introduce you to Sean Flynn, Project Manager / New Installation Sales!

He is an important part of our team, and we would like you to get to know him a little better:

What is your role and duties at Pincus Elevator?

“I handle all aspects of our New Equipment Sales from original proposals to the project management once the elevators arrive on site.  I also assist with project management with our modernization projects.”

How long have you been with the company?

“I recently celebrated my 1-year anniversary on January 30th!  Pincus Elevator has been a breath of fresh air after spending all my career with the large multi-national elevator companies.”

How did you get started in the industry?

“I’m a second-generation “elevator guy”. My father was a mechanic and superintendent in the trade for 47 years.  I got started as an account manager with Otis Elevator in 2006 and my first territory was in the Catskill Mountains in New York State.”

What is your favorite part of working at Pincus Elevator?

“That is a tough question. First, it is being part of a family-run organization that has been around for 70 years. There is a sense of pride in representing a family that has been in the community that long serves its customers.

Second, we have a great office culture that isn’t just words in a mission statement — it is reality. Being part of a small team, we help each other on a daily basis!

Third, we now get daily visits from our President’s White Lab, Luna!”

How can someone determine what elevator is best to install in their building?

“The best way to determine that decision usually starts with a good architect. After that, it centers around discussions on how the building is going to be used and how much traffic is expected.

The industry trend is certainly moving towards the MRL (machine roomless) traction elevators as building owners no longer want to have hydraulic oil in the building and/or ground.”

What are you most proud of in your career so far?

“I am most proud of finding a home here at Pincus.  It allows for an incredible work-life balance. Plus, working in my hometown means that I get to help provide the best vertical transportation solutions for our local community.”

What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to find out?

“An interesting fact is that I worked in professional fireworks in my 20s – at sites like Eagles and Phillies Games!”

What was the first job you ever had?

“My first job was lifeguarding in the summers at our local swim club!”

What do your weekends generally look like?

“BUSY! Lucky to have an amazing wife and two great kids! So our weekends are usually busy with sports and activities. Right now, we are gearing up for baseball and softball. Look for future blog posts about our Pincus Elevator Chihuahuas playing in the East Side Little League Minors (9U) Division!”

Who has most inspired you throughout your life?

“Two People:  the first being my father who, after suffering a catastrophic work-related injury, came back to work in the field after being home for four years recuperating in order to provide for his young wife and family.

The second is my wife Danielle. She works tirelessly in healthcare improving outcomes for her patients all while being a full-time wife and mom that keeps our crazy schedule and household on track each and every day.”
