There’s a chill in the air, and that requires a slight adjustment to elevator etiquette.

The big change is space. Puffy winter coats and holiday packages take up lots of room, so stand as close to the walls as possible. Make sure nothing you carry obstructs the doors. Watch out for slippery surfaces, too.

Otherwise elevator etiquette is pretty much the same: mind your pets. Hold them if possible, or keep them on a short leash. And look out for others: push buttons when needed and be patient when getting off. If a packed car arrives you might even do everyone a favor by waiting for the next one.

As your Delaware Valley elevator installation and maintenance expert for over 60 years, Pincus Elevator Company doesn’t just consider the equipment; we want every elevator passenger to have a safe, happy ride.

Enjoy the holidays!
